Guernsey’s first electric bike shop, in St Martin’s

With the gaining popularity of electric bikes (often referred to as e-bikes), Dan and Sam have opened an additional shop opposite their current location, specialising in electric bikes.

Electric bikes have seen a huge growth in recent years, with a wide range of electric bikes on offer to fit the needs of both experienced cyclists and people looking at transport alternatives. Given Guernsey’s size and topography it lends itself perfectly to electric bike use and to have a shop dedicated to them we feel is the way forward.  Sales of electric bikes in the UK are on the rise but still lag a long way behind the Netherlands where electric bikes make up 50% of new bike sales.

These days electric bike design has come along way and, with the various options out there, they can even replace a family car as a transport alternative.  Adventure Cycles is now stocking one of the lightest e-road bikes on the market, weighing in under 12kg, for those who like to cycle for leisure but need a little bit of a helping hand up those hills!
