Genesis goes carbon – Review

March 12, 2015
Zero .2

Genesis has gone carbon for 2015, last year our road demo bike that I had the pleasure of riding was the Genesis Volare 00 . When starting out of road biking for the first time I choose the steel version out of the range for the comfort and style, however now that Genesis has brought out the carbon Zero range I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one. I choose the Genesis Zero .2 in the range due to the new affordable Shimano 105 11 speed gearing, first ride out I wandered what I had done to give up the good Volare 00 but after putting in a few miles I now see why this was a great step up. Not only does the Zero give a great stiff frame for sprinting and climbing but once use to the other characteristics of the frame it is proving to be my favoured road bike this season. Two upgrades I am looking forward to doing will be the TT aero bars as I intend on trying out a few of the Guernsey Velo Club time trials but also we will be looking to convert the bike into the new Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting. This should hopefully give me slick and fast shifting for the new car park criteriums the club intends on holding this year.

Pop into Adventure Cycles to have a look at the full road bike range and discuss the many options available to you.
