1. Electric bikes cut out at 15mph, which is the maximum permitted speed with power assist.

Range is very dependent on hilly conditions and the effort put in when pedaling in pedal assist mode.

2. Batteries should be charged each time after use. Although batteries are normally guaranteed for 6 months we have found that the average life is 2 years.

The new Raleigh Dover batteries are guaranteed for 2 years

 dependent on care of the battery.

3. No licence, insurance, or helmets are required to ride electric cycles.
