THE BOSS

Steve Bichard started Adventure Cycles over 12 years ago, initially based at the Venture Garage. Steve saw a big gap in the cycle market for reasonably priced good quality cycles, especially in the upper parishes, so as soon as premises became available in St Martins village he snapped them up. The Business has now grown and some of the best cycles on the market can be found at Adventure Cycles including the the best carbon bikes around from Scott  and other top brands like GT. Mongoose. Haro. Ridgeback  and a great range of accessories. Adventure cycles is also Guernsey's top electric bike supplier.
Steve spends a lot of time in France now, and the day to day running of the shop is left in the very capable hands of Malc. 

The right hand man

Malcolm Simmons has been Steve's right hand man for nearly ten years now and is the backbone of the business.  Malc is a craftsman having worked on hundreds of metalwork and welding projects on the island for over 22 years. There is not much he cannot put his hand to, be it cycles, electric bikes, metalwork, woodwork or electrics.

Malc has been repairing and building cycles for over 10 years and over this period he has built up a vast knowledge, so you know your cycle will be in safe hands. 

Straight talking and to the point, Malc will always be honest about what is repairable and what is not on your bike and you might even get a little lecture on how to keep it in good order thrown in for good measure.  It's so difficult to find real craftsmen in this 'throw away' society.  Visit Adventure Cycles and you will find one of the best. When Malc is not at work you can be sure he will be out fishing in his beloved boat Connie.

  We have now taken on a new member of staff for sales and repairs. Local man Andy Beausire has  good background in mechanical repairs and will be a valuable asset to assist malc in the workshop. Andy has just built his own single speed bike, which he uses often to commute to work on.
